  • Häme Region

    Day 1

    After arrival, departure to Hämeenlinna and check in at Matin ja Maijan Majatalo. Visit to the local Tiirinkosken Tehdas farm with adorable lifestyle boutique and cafe. You can taste the local products and buy fresh local food and products while admiring the rural landscape and farm animals. After Tiirinkoski, head to the favorite outdoor area of locals, Aulanko Nature Reserve with beautiful landscapes and rich history. In the evening nice dinner and a local sauna in Vanai Bistro & Bastu.

  • Tampere Region

    Day 2

    After breakfast, departure to Tampere – the sauna capital of world! Overnight at Original Sokos Hotel Villa in Tampere. After checking in at the hotel, you can explore the city and try for example one of the many public saunas and eat dinner at Plevna Brewery Pub.

    Day 3

    You shouldn’t visit Tampere without tasting mustamakkara! Mustamakkara is a Finnish blood sausage made from pork meat, blood and rye flour. You can taste mustamakkara for example at Tampere Market Hall Kauppahalli, the biggest indoor market in the Nordic countries. 

    Also hot chicken wings have won a place on the map of local specialties. The best place to head for your hot wings experience is restaurant SiipiWeikot

    The celebrated doughnuts with sugar sprinkles, baked in the café at the observation tower Pyynikki for decades, are one of the classic tastes in Tampere. You can also enjoy the famous doughnuts at the market hall.

  • Jyväskylä Region

    Day 4

    After breakfast head off to Jyväskylä. Book a room for the night in the privately owned Boutique Hotel Yöpuu or Hotel Verso, accommodation located right in the city centre. Later in the afternoon enjoy the Urban sauna world experience and pure local delicacies at Sataman Viilu in the harbour of Jyväskylä. Stop for a visit in HIISI Taproom and enjoy a drink like a local.

    Days 5-6

    After breakfast departure to Ilomantsi, the most eastern municipality of Finland. Learn more about Karelian culture and way of living in Rune Singer’s Village in Parppeinvaara and enjoy Karelian buffet lunch in Restaurant Parppeinpirtti. Here you can listen to beautiful Kantele music and hear stories of local traditions. If you have time, visit also Möhkö Village to learn more about ironworks, war history and the forest industry. One-hour drive to Joensuu, where to overnight in Karelian styled Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel or Lietsu Boutique Aparthotel.

    Day 7

    Lahti – fresh and clean water and grain from Salpausselkä Geopark area as a basis of local breweries, distilleries and bakeries.

    Accommodation at Solo Sokos Lahden Seurahuone at the city centre. After arrival, visit at Teerenpeli Brewery and Distillery’s visitor centre including beer or whisky tasting program. Teerenpeli products highlight Finnish flavours, handicraft and ecological production. The beverages are produced with over 20 years of expertise, honouring traditions and using local raw materials and clear groundwater from the Salpausselkä ridges. Teerenpeli Distillery is also one of the oldest distilleries in Finland and currently a clear market leader in Finnish Single Malt Whiskies!
