1Day 1 : Finnish glass from history to modern times
History of glass design in Riihimäki and Iittala Village.

2Day 2 : Textile industry and glass art
Dive in to the textile history in Forssa and visit the Nuutajärvi Glass Village.

3Day 3 : Finlayson, sauna and Moomins in Tampere
Self-guided city tour, visit to Moomin museum and guided sauna tour.

Day 1
Get to know the history of glass in Riihimäki! Visit the Finnish Glass Museum and small glass studios in Hyttikortteli. After Riihimäki, continue in the world of glass and in Iittala Village. Participate in the guided tour in Iittala Glass Factory and Design Museum Iittala. Accommodation in Original Sokos Hotel Hämeenlinna, visit to Häme Castle and dinner in restaurant Piparkakkutalo.

Day 2
From Hämeenlinna we move to Forssa and and get to know the history of textile industry. The history of textile printing can be found in the Forssa museum, well-known patterns such as Finlayson in the pattern center and the traditional fabric printing method workshop in Rykkeri’s store. After lunch, the trip continues to Nuutajärvi glass village.
Guided tour in Nuutajärvi Glass Village, the oldest still running glass village in Finland. World famous glass artist Oiva Toikka lived and worked in Nuutajärvi for decades. Possibility to do shopping.
After Nuutajärvi, you can continue the tour to Tampere. You can stay for example at the historical Grand Hotel Tammer in the city centre close to Tammerkoski rapids. Also dinner can be enjoyed at the hotel.

Day 3
By the banks of the Tammerkoski rapids, ideas have always been born. Whenever a set of machines has fallen silent, new thoughts have soon filled that space. Rolls of cloth have changed into lines of code and unforgettable experiences at Finlayson and Tampella areas.
You can start the day with a self-guided city tour and familiarize yourself with the most important sights of the city located between two vast lakes, Näsijärvi and Pyhäjärvi. After that, you can continue the day with a visit to the Moomin Museum at Tampere Hall. There you can also have a delicious Moomin themed lunch at the restaurant Tuhto. And when in Finland and the Sauna Capital of the world, a walk in the nature and a guided sauna tour makes a perfect ending to the day.

Jyväskylä Region
Day 4
Art Museum Gösta is located amid beautiful lakeside nature of Mänttä. Paper mill owner’s former manor home forms the earliest part of the museum. A new section, the so-called pavilion complements the museum complex. Serlachius Museum Gösta showcases art pieces from Finland’s Golden Age but also evocative contemporary art from Finland and further afield has a major role. As a novelty, the museums have introduced a prize-winning Art Sauna.
After the modern art and maybe even the sauna experiences, you may stay over night in Mänttä or continue your journey to Keuruu to stay over night in the Hotel Keurusselkä on the shore of the crystal clear blue Lake Keurusselkä.
Petäjävesi Old Church and Craft Museum of Finland in Jyväskylä Region
The Petäjävesi Old Church is traditional Nordic wooden building masterpiece. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and a must see in the region. Guiding is always included in the entrance fee.
From Petäjävesi Old Church continue to Jyväskylä to visit the Craft Museum of Finland that will take you on a journey in time and through the many faces of crafts.
