Petkeljärvi National Park 70th anniversary celebration

Welcome to celebrate the birthday of Finland’s easternmost and smallest National Park with us. There will be plenty of free activities from morning till evening, for all ages.
– At 10, 11.30 and 14 canoeing guides with the help of Koihu Adventures Pirkko.

National Parks Getting to Know You – book and TV series authors Pepe and Paula Forsberg will be there all day, come and chat and ask questions about the trips. You will also have the opportunity to buy their latest book.
– At 13, Tiina Hakkarainen from Metsähallitus will tell you about the unique ridge nature of Lake Petkeljärvi in ​​words and pictures in the camping center’s
fireplace room.
– Hippa Metsänhenki and Nelli-Nalle will be there from 10-18. Fairy tales, stories and nature activities for children and those with a child’s mind.
– Free cake and coffee available from 10-16, weather permitting in the camping center’s backyard pop-up tent, in case of rain in the café.
– The singing group Lempo will perform in the hall at 3 pm and 6 pm. Lempo will mainly perform light music with original arrangements, often a capella.
