Petkeljärvi National Park’s 70th birthday on Finnish Nature Day 29.08.2026

On Finnish Nature Day, when we also celebrate the Provincial Day of North Karelia, the Petkeljärvi National Park will celebrate the national park’s 70th birthday. On the weekend of 28-30.08.2026, in honor of the celebration, we are offering both tent and hammock pitches at incredible discounted prices. The night between Friday and Saturday is -70% off the pitch fee and the night between Saturday and Sunday is free of charge. On Saturday, there will be free cake coffees, canoeing guidance, children’s programs, musical performances, food from morning to evening and as special guests Pepe and Paula Forsberg themselves (including Getting to Know Finnish National Parks, Secret Folders of National Parks). There will also be special offers for other types of accommodation for the weekend.
