Snow shoe safari in Pyhä-Häkki National Park

This magnificent wilderness experience across wintry landscapes of the northern part of the Lakeland, in Pyhä-Häkki National Park, offers a moderate challenge for inexperienced explorers and pure enjoyment for more advanced adventurers. During the winter, snow cover allows us to go off-path route and see sceneries, which in other seasons are hidden from the visitors. Route is chosen for each tour to see the most beautiful parts of the park. You might even find tracks of wild animals, such as rabbits, foxes, grouse, otter, mink or even moose, if you are lucky. During the tour there will be breaks to take photos and at the Kotajärvi campfire we enjoy a delicate meal and a rest.

We recommend layered clothing, according to the weather. Put on boots, which cover your ankle. Bring a day-backpack for seating pad and thermos bottle (you can lend from us), and for a spare sweater.
