Kero’s Journey – Self-Drive Husky Safari in Juuka

Kero journey is a 12 km immersive husky adventure that takes you deep into the peaceful winter wilderness once Lake Kajoonjärvi has frozen over. This 2.5–3-hour excursion offers a perfect combination of speed, serenity, and the power of the dogs. Two adults travel in one sled, and halfway through the trip there is a photo break – during which adults may switch drivers if they wish. If you prefer, you can also drive your own sled and fully immerse yourself in the experience at your own pace.

The safari is provided by Wild Wood Husky Oy in Juuka. The safari is operated if the snow and weather conditions allow.

SUITABILITY
Easy – the safari route is about 12 km.
Please note that a child cannot act as the sled driver and must sit in the sled with an adult.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED
Warm winter clothing. If needed, customers can borrow winter overalls, winter boots and mittens from Wild Wood Husky.
