Sommelo Ethno Music Festival

Sommelo Ethno Music Festival will be celebrated next summer during the week following Midsummer. The final chapter of the festival trilogy, “In the Pastures – In the Forest – On the Waters”, brings together a diverse programme of concerts, seminars, courses and workshops.

The programme includes both ticketed and free public events. As always, Sommelo offers concerts for audiences of all ages, from children to adults. Performances will take place at Kuhmo Arts Centre (Kuhmo-talo), the Kuhmo Market Square, Kaesa’s Bakery Café and Juminkeko.

This year’s highlights include the Runo Song Club, the “Call of the Kalevala” singing workshop, a concert by Maria Kalaniemi & Pekko Käppi, and Ensemble Gamut!, known also from Finland’s Flow Festival.
