Experience sauna and swimming in Lake Päijänne

Welcome to enjoy three saunas and swimming in Juurikkasaari, in the beautiful scenery of Säynätsalo and Lake Päijänne!

Only a 20-minute drive from the center of Jyväskylä, in the heart of nature and beautiful lakeside scenery of Lake Päijänne, you’ll find Juurikkasaari. Saunas are warm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3pm to 8pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 6pm, and you can swim all year round in the lake. You’ll only need your swimming suit and a towel to enjoy a relaxing Finnish “löyly”. You can also rent a towel from us.

The lakeside saunas are shared by both men and women, and swimwear is required. The saunas are located by the lake, where you can dip into Lake Päijänne year-round via the pier or the child-friendly sand beach. The saunas also offer changing rooms (separate for men and women), showers with shampoo and a hairdryer.

Cold refreshing drinks for sauna can be bought from the main building of Juurikkasaari or from the beach terrace during summer.

Sauna price 14,50 € for adults and 7 € for kids 2-12 years old. Children under 2 are free while companied by adults.
