Choose your challenge: 2.5 km, 5 km or 10 km.

Puruvesi Swim at a glance

* From the event centre, you will take a **7 km boat transfer to Petri Island and back.
* Around Petri Island, you can choose between 2.5 km, 5 km or 10 km swimming routes in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Puruvesi.
* Enjoy swimming around a beautiful island surrounded by pristine Finnish nature. Petri Island is also a protected nature area

Open-water swimming excursions in Lake Puruvesi, with distances ranging from 800 m to 5 km.

Swimming with Jani Sievinen

Jani Sievinen is one of Finland’s most successful swimmers. During his international career, he won an Olympic silver medal, a World Championship title and multiple European Championship medals. At the 1994 World Championships, he won gold in the 200 m individual medley in world-record time. At the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, he won silver in the 200 m individual medley.

Today, Jani shares his extensive experience as a swimming coach, offering swimming lessons for small groups and individuals. The lessons take place at the lakeside sauna of Matkailutila Naaranlahti.
