River Toivanjoki flows from Lake Kesijärvi in Loppi and ends in Lake Alasjärvi at Tervakoski in Janakkala. The river is calm and can be paddled in both directions.

The river offers beautiful landscapes and its wetlands are of great importance both as a resting place for migratory birds and as a nesting area for wetland birds.

Our canoeing trip starts at canoe landing site at the Launostentie 232 bridge, from where we head towards Alasjärvi and the return trip follows the same route to our starting point.

You don’t have to be an expert in paddling: our 2-seated open canoes are safe and steady, and we will give You thorough instructions before paddling.

An extra seat, for example for a child, can be added to the canoe. Please let us know when booking if you need one.

We will send you more information closer to the booked date.

Our canoeing trips are generally suitable for participants with physical or other limitations as well.

We are currently renewing our Sustainable Travel Finland label as proof of long-term work for sustainable nature travel.

Our canoeing trips can already be booked for the period between 1 May and 30 September 2027 and they are also excellent for first-timers!
