Discover the Väliväylä canoeing route
The Väliväylä is a historic water route connecting the Saimaa and Kymijoki waterways. Narrow lakes and peaceful rivers follow one another through the Southern Finnish landscape, creating a varied route for canoeing and kayaking.
Once used for floating timber, the waterway carries traces of Finland’s logging and industrial history. Today, its clean waters and quiet natural surroundings make it a wonderful route for exploring Finnish Lakeland by paddle.
Paddle by day, enjoy a Finnish sauna in the evening and wake up ready for your next stretch on the water.
