Lahti City Hall, located in the heart of Lahti’s city center, is one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks and an essential part of its urban landscape. Designed by architect Eliel Saarinen, the City Hall was completed in 1912 and represents the late Art Nouveau style. Although the building is over 100 years old and has suffered damage during wars and fires, it has been carefully restored with great respect for the original design, preserving the architectural heritage of different eras.

Visitors can book a guided tour of the City Hall to explore its fascinating history and architecture. The building also features a covered inner courtyard, offering an elegant setting for meetings and various events, as well as Restaurant Eliel, which serves both visitors and locals alike.

The building holds a special place in Lahti’s history and is located on Mariankatu, a street recognized as being of significant cultural and historical value both regionally and nationally.
