Kärkistensalmi Strait & Kärkinen Bridge

Spanning fabulous Lake Päijänne and the Kärkistensalmi Strait, the Kärkinen bridge is Finland’s third longest. The bridge is situated on the road chosen as Finland’s most scenic route and beneath it passes the shipping channel between Jyväskylä and Lahti.

You can park your car next to the bridge in the courtyard of the nearby café.
