Koskimökki: Wilderness cabin in Lakeland Finland

Stay in Koskimökki, a traditional log cabin in a unique location beside the rushing rapids of Vaikko Kärenkoski. Completely renovated in 2021, this 34 m² wilderness cabin accommodates 2 + 2 people and offers a peaceful setting close to the water and surrounding Finnish nature.

Enjoy the sound of the rapids from the cabin and spend summer evenings on the covered terrace, with bright Nordic nights and clear skies perfect for stargazing.

The cabin includes:

1 bedroom with 2 beds
Open-plan kitchen with 2 additional beds
Dressing room
Bathroom with shower
Wood-burning sauna
Covered terrace
Toilet and sauna accessed through the porch

The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, refrigerator with freezer compartment, microwave and drinkable tap water. The cabin also has a TV, glass-fronted fireplace and firewood from the shed.

A boat is included, while a canoe is available for rent. Guests can also use the charcoal grill and campfire site. Charcoal is not included. An outdoor power outlet for cars and an EV charging point available for rent are also provided.

Two shared barbecue shelters are available to all guests, approximately 300 metres from the cabin.
