The story of Villa Laitniemi goes back over 300 years. The current main building was built in 1885 and was home to several generations of the Maijanen family, who lived a traditional countryside life. During World War II, the house was used by a Finnish army company, and visitors can still find remains of the Salpalinja defense line on the property. Today, the villa has been carefully renovated to offer modern comforts, while preserving its unique history and atmosphere.
