The traditional smoke sauna of Toppala’s holiday cottages

Experience an authentic Central Finnish smoke sauna in a peaceful setting where traditional sauna culture meets modern comfort. Built in 1996, this traditional smoke sauna offers gentle, soft steam that is perfect for relaxation—whether you are celebrating a birthday, enjoying an evening with friends, or treating yourself to a moment of wellbeing. The sauna benches can accommodate around six bathers at a time, and the cosy fireplace room next to the sauna provides space for about ten people.

Your sauna experience can be enhanced with a warm outdoor hot tub, where unwinding under the starry sky adds a magical touch to the evening. You can also enjoy small refreshments at the sauna, such as cold drinks and light snacks, making the atmosphere even more relaxing. Various sauna treatments are available as well—traditional whisking, for example, brings an authentic Finnish element to the experience.

Next to the sauna you will find a grill hut, which can be rented either together with the sauna or separately. The grill hut offers a pleasant space for spending time together and preparing food in the warm glow of an open fire.
