Welcome to enjoy the experience for all the senses! Café Meijerinliiteri offers high quality concerts of Finnish professional musicians in a unique venue: 110 years old barn.

On stage on June 29th at 20pm: Juurakko. Juurakko serves a delightful combination of Finnish and Afro-American roots music with vivid storytelling and rakish skiffle spirit. Highly skilled a cappella blues singing in Finnish is combined with exotic instruments like the kantele, the harmonium, the bowed lyre, the cigar box guitar, a coffee mug and a suitcase. The music of Juurakko invites you to a waltz with an old sailor, takes you to an island of unwanted people and brings earthy echoes from the Deep South.

Café Meijerinliiteri is a unique, family owned summer café located in the heart of the beautiful Finnish Lakeland. We are not only a coffee shop, but also an interesting location in which to spend time and to see Finnish history and traditions. The Kokko homestead was founded at this very location centuries ago, and the recent owners, Juhani and Maija, have turned the residence into a place where everyone can enjoy the beauty of the Finnish country life.
