Ossi Somma’s Studio Building

Ossi Somma’s old family home is located on top of the hill in the sculpture park. The large classroom in the former school building served as Somma’s studio for decades.

The studio has been preserved in many aspects, but today you can also see Maria Mattila’s tools, instruments, and unfinished paintings harmoniously coexisting with Ossi’s works and art supplies.

Upstairs in the house is the Mini Gallery, where you can explore a collection of Ossi Somma’s miniature sculptures and drawings from his school days. Visitors can also sit down in an old armchair to read literature about Somma and sense the tales of the old house.

The studio building and Mini Gallery are open by appointment.
