Visit websiteThe On Senses exhibition in the Craft Museum of Finland offers a multisensory and touch-based dive into art, craftsmanship, and various materials. The exhibition highlights how artistic expression is built through tangible interaction with materials – through touch that shapes both the artwork and its creator.
Seventeen artists featured in the exhibition represent a wide range of material-based contemporary art, including works in textiles, ceramics, glass, wood, and various recycled materials. The exhibition merges techniques and materials familiar from the world of craftsmanship with artistic vision, bringing different surfaces and textures to life through the touch of a hand.
The On Senses exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to perceive diverse surfaces and textures through touch – their softness, hardness, roughness, or smoothness. By feeling the artwork, one can discern its shape, size, and intricate details.
The exhibition is organized jointly by the Craft Museum of Finland and Artists O Association. The exhibition is open 11.1.-27.4.2025.
