Festival X TAI-WAN? – Harmony of traditions

This concert showcases traditional Taiwanese instruments and their unique timbers with special focus on the melodic potential and capabilities of the Chinese dulcimer (yangqin) and the traditional pipa (Chinese lute).

The closing piece of this concert is Underneath Bald Cypress by Chieh-Ju Yangin, which creates a meditative and calming atmosphere that blends the tone of traditional Chinese instruments with a soundscape inspired by nature.
