Authentic Finnish Sauna by the Lake

Choose a traditional turf-roofed smoke sauna, a spacious electric sauna, or enjoy both during the same evening. You can also refresh yourself with a swim in the lake or in the winter in a ice hole like locals.

Leave everyday hurry behind and enjoy an authentic Finnish sauna experience by the calm shores of Lake Orivesi. The scent of smoke in the air, gentle steam, and peaceful nature create the perfect setting for relaxation at Lastun Paikat.
The sauna area is located in a quiet, secluded setting in Puhos, Kitee, with no neighbours in sight. Illuminated wooden boardwalks connect the main building, cozy Lappish hut, smoke sauna, and a log-built dugout embedded into the hillside. Parking is available on site.
The smoke sauna accommodates 10–15 people and is built from sunken logs. Its steam is soft, gentle, and long-lasting. The sauna features a hand shower, small terrace, and a lake-view window. The main building offers an electric sauna for approximately 12 people, two showers, and comfortable lounge areas with fireplaces. The swimming jetty is 50–70 metres from the saunas.

Sauna sessions last approximately 1.5 hours. Seat covers and washing products are included. The smoke sauna is mixed-gender, so please bring a swimsuit, towel, and suitable footwear. Guests may bring their own drinks and snacks, and sausages can be grilled by the fireplace.
