Anttola Village and the Luonteri Waters

Anttola is a small village by the Lake Saimaa, just 25 kilometres from Mikkeli. From there you have the perfect possibility to traverse one of the most beautiful open water areas in Finland, the Luonteri. The rocky islands around Luonteri are a unique natural attraction, and they also serve as a home for the rare Ringed Saimaa Seal. You can get to know the area for example by paddling, boating, or climbing to the Neitvuori Hill, and stop by for some ice cream in the Anttola harbour on the way.

In the winter time, you can try skiing or skating on a natural lake, or perhaps spend a day leisurely ice fishing.
