Feel like a captain on Lake Päijänne. Rent your own floating cottage with a wood-fired sauna – no boating licence needed. Every guest gets a one-hour captain’s briefing, and then the lake is yours: quiet bays, sandy beaches, islands and water so clean that 1.3 million people in the Helsinki region drink it.

Our 11 houseboats for 2–8 people start from Heinola harbour, Satamatie 4 – about 140 km and 1.5 hours by car from Helsinki Airport, with free parking. Every boat has a kitchen, shower and WC, cabins, a terrace deck, a dinghy, free Wi-Fi and its own sauna. Choose Eco-Wood 21 or 36 with a wood stove, Luxe 24, Spa 24 with an outdoor hot tub, or DeLuxe 42 with a 30 m² roof terrace.
