Pyykkimettä Park

Pyykkimettä park is located on the Pispalan harju ridge, a few kilometers from the centre of Tampere. This place is one of the most photographed ones in Tampere due to the old wooden houses and the magnificent view over Lake Pyhäjärvi.

The park, also known as the water tank hill, has had a water tank to which water was pumped from the Tahmelanlähde spring. Many people from Pispala got their water from the hill, and the laundry of the residents was also washed and dried in the park.

In addition to the vantage point, the Pyykkimettä park also has a playground and a momument to the red guards.
