Anttola is a small village by the idyllic waters of Lake Saimaa, just 25 kilometers from Mikkeli. Visitors to Anttola have the perfect opportunity to explore one of the most beautiful open water areas in Finland, Luonteri. The rocky islands around Luonteri are a unique natural attraction and they also serve as a home for the rare Ringed Saimaa Seal.

Visitors can get to know Anttola and the Luonteri waters many ways, such as by paddling, boating, or by foot via one of the many charming hiking trails in the area. For nature enthusiasts Anttola offers many interesting sights, such as the Rakokallio nature reserve and the 184 meter high Neitvuori hill, which offers an excellent view over the maze-like Saimaa waters below. Between their adventures in the area travelers can take a break and enjoy refreshments in the charming Anttola harbor.

Luonteri is a registered Saimaa Geopark nature and cultural sight.
