In summer, Rehjansaari is easily accessible by boat, canoe or even rowing. In winter, the island is accessed by an ice rink, which is suitable for both traditional and free skiing. The kayaking route starts at Kuurna in Kajaani, and the island’s beaches offer several moorings and landing places.
You can stay free of charge in tents on the Rehjansaari Island, respecting everyone’s rights. There are several fireplaces on the island, and firewood can be obtained from log piles.
Rehjansaari is popular with hikers all year round. In summer, the island’s circular hiking and canoeing trails offer spectacular scenery and natural tranquillity. In winter, the island’s campfires provide an excellent setting for winter hiking.
