Buy onlineComedian Iikka Kivi’s razor-sharp humor takes center stage in the solo stand-up show A Special Relationship with Nature, continuing into spring 2025! Show is coming to Mikkeli Cultural House Tempo
Saturday, February 1, 2025.
In an era of rising tensions and deepening divides, it’s important to remember one thing that unites us all: the Finnish nature.
Iikka’s solo performance, A Special Relationship with Nature, invites Finns to experience, cherish, and protect their connection to the natural world. It also humorously asks how the descendants of bear hunters turned into electric scooter riders stressed out by barnacle geese.
This lighthearted yet pointed show features a cast of Finnish creatures, from the dwindling willow tits to the booming population of summer cottage enthusiasts. While the subject matter is serious and the state of nature dire, the performance avoids preaching or guilt-tripping. Instead, it seeks to inspire, offer solutions, and encourage people to rediscover their bond with nature.
Iikka Kivi’s previous solo show, Spede is Dead, played to sold-out audiences in 2019. Fans have been eagerly awaiting his new material—much like migratory birds longing for spring amidst a late cold snap!
