Eco Hostel and Tentsile Experience Camp on Linnansaari island | Lake Saimaa

Enjoy the nature on the main island of Linnansaari National Park.

The Eco Hostel in Sammakkoniemi Camping on Linnansaari island is located in the middle of the most beautiful areas of Lake Saimaa. The hostel is open only in summer time and it has five cozy log huts. Each hut has two bunk beds, a table and benches. On the campsite we also have three Tentsile Stingray tents for rent.

The campsite has a common cooking shelter, campfire places, a well with drinking water, outdoor toilets and a wood heated sauna. From the cafeteria you can rent canoes or buy food for your hiking trip.

Note: the Eco Hostel is located on an island so you have to arrive there by canoe or boat. There is a regular boat and water taxis from Oravi. There is no electricity on the island.

Accessibility: On Sammakkoniemi campsite all the piers, dry toilets, a cooking shelter and a campfire place are accessible by wheelchair. Accessible entrance to the Eco Hostel hut is also available (mention the need of a ramp when making the reservation).
