Discover the first flavours of spring in the Finnish Lakeland

Welcome to experience the world of wild herbs at Tertti Manor in Mikkeli, Finland, on 24 May and 13 June 2026. Wild Herb Day combines nature, wellbeing, learning and seasonal food into a unique experience in the heart of the Saimaa Lakeland region.

During the day, guests join a guided wild herb excursion in Tertti Manor’s organic forest and learn to identify Finland’s most common edible wild plants and their culinary uses. Along the way, participants taste flavours directly from nature and may also collect herbs to take home.

After the excursion, guests enjoy a seasonal wild herb lunch at Tertti Manor’s Garden Café, where fresh local ingredients, wild herbs and Finnish food traditions come together.

Guided wild herb excursion in Tertti Manor’s organic forest

During the excursion:
– learn to identify 5 common edible wild plants
– taste flavours directly from nature
– learn safe and sustainable harvesting techniques
– collect herbs to take home if desired

The tour is guided by wild herb instructor Heidi Haapiainen.
